Music: Lone Sharks

A mainstay on the east coast roots rock circuit since the late 1980s, singer, songwriter & guitarist GENE CASEY and his band the LONE SHARKS have “played – and torn up -- virtually every roadhouse, bar, and honky-tonk from Manhattan to Montauk” (Bop! Magazine) and produced five CDs of original songs that reflect his deep understanding of the classic rockabilly, C&W and R&B tradition.

Reviewing 2008’s “What Happened” Baylis Greene in The East Hampton STAR’s wrote: “Mr. Casey has explored the more rewarding corners of country and western music and its progeny and come up with a disc that remains thematically of a piece — love, sex, and what the hell goes wrong — while he and the boys change speeds with practically each song in turn.”

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Gene Casey has fronted the NY-based roots rock & roll band, Lone Sharks for over 20 years; released numerous CDs of original music and has had his songs and recordings featured on the soundtracks of TV (FX Network's "Justified" and "Sons of Anarchy"), feature films (2012's "The Tall Man" and 2013's "Killing Season") and on NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion".
